Chief Juana Calfunao Paillalef was injured in the attack and later detained by the police. See photographs below of the police assault against the community which took place on Weds 21st of December 2005.
Chief Juana Calfunao and her sister Luisa were injured by the police in this attack, two days later on Friday 21st December 2005 they were beaten and detained at the police station of Padres Las Casas. Luisa Calfunao is the mother of four small children, one of them aged only two years old.
